UBC Interprofessional Continuing Education - The Team Approach to Learning

Continuing Education Credits

This comprehensive four-day course is for health professionals from a variety of disciplines who face diabetes in practice. It is an ideal course if you are entering the dynamic, specialty field of diabetes education.
The completion of the course will not make you a diabetes educator. If you wish to become a certified diabetes educator, please visit Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board website: http://www.cdecb.ca for more information.  You will need to write a certification exam through the board in order to become certified diabetes educator. Our course is not the official preparation course (there are no official preparation course for this exam as the board does not accredit CE courses as such). However, it has been noted by our past participants that the course does help in writing certification exam.

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance stating 20.5 educational instruction. This course is eligible for credit toward your Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Maintenance Credit Portfolio.
